Traci and Todd's Wedding, Lancaster, SC

photographers notes - i've written about this in other blog entries, but i have to say again that this has been a fun year of shooting. we've really been lucky to do so much of our work in different locales throughout the state.

Traci and Todd had their wedding in Traci's hometown of Lancaster. during our pre-scout, i was utterly charmed by the small town near her church and made a note to do some of our post ceremony images there. we drew from the vignettes on main street - a tree lined avenue with awnings...a salmon colored wall with potted dune grass that reminded me of Charleston...bits of inspiration coupled with tremendous afternoon light.

Kristin's Bridal Session, The Duke Mansion, Charlotte, NC

Kristin & Matt were married on 7.7.12! I can now share Kristin's gorgeous bridal session we did at The Duke Mansion. After shooting her engagement, bridal, x-posed session & wedding...I'm sad to not have another shoot planned! Leah & Daniel's Adventure in Charlotte

Photographer's notes: I've known Dan's parents for years. We captured his sister Jodie's wedding to Jacob five years ago (really? 5 years? wow). I've played golf with Dan and Ken (his dad) and they are really good people. I was happy and surprised when Dan sent me a message on fb and told me his good news. He was going to marry his girl Leah, and he wanted Indigo to cover his wedding.
When this happens (and it does quite often now), we get to see the progression and happiness of families we know and have developed lifelong relationships with. It's a great feeling to be asked back from clients and friends to capture a special day in their lives. I was introduced to guests as a friend and photographer. Thanks Debra (Dan's mom)! It was truly a special day all around. Congratulations to this great couple who found each other and to their terrific families.
