photographers notes - what does "editorial portraiture" mean?

at Indigo, it means trying to put a narrative feeling into our work...a
sense of mood, drama and texture. a portrait shoot is more than just a
classic image of our brides, its a chance to explore some of these ideas
and breathe life into them.

my shoot with Michelle was one that i've been dying to put up on our blog
but i had to keep it under wraps until this past weekend when she wed her
fiancee Bryan...the thing that i love about these kind of shoots is how
the session evolves as the day goes on.

the progression from the country setting of Saratoga Springs to the old
school feel of Albemarle gave us alot of looks, but to be fair i can't
take too much credit for how the images came out.

working with Michelle was like photographing a model.
